RGP007 Clutch Actuator

RoseGPE has wanted an electronic clutch for a long time. Part of this is to assist in electronic launch control, part of this is to reduce need for routing pull cables, but mostly, it’s to keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, and provide some safety features.

I guided some freshmen to design and eventually build the prototype clutch actuator:

The internals were prototyped with another gearbox. The gears and ring and one of the carriers are taken from harbor freight drills, much like the electronic shifter.
